Think of the 2D sketch as a preview drawing of your mascot, and of the BAT (bon à tirer, French for good to print) as the written go-ahead you give once you are happy with it. They are most useful for team mascots, company characters and event costumes that carry a logo, a name or special colours.

Two-sided mascot concept drawing for a team, company or seasonal event

Why teams and companies use them

A mascot for a hockey team, a trade show booth, a winter carnival or a company anniversary has to look right in front of a crowd. Seeing the front and back of the costume on a drawing lets you catch a wrong shade or a misplaced logo while it is still easy to fix. Several people can review it and agree before the work moves to the shop floor.

Inside the sketch and the proof

  • The sketch: front view and back view of the costume, with the colours, the logo and the texts in place.
  • The BAT: your approval in writing. If we do not have it, production does not begin.

Step by step

  1. Pick the option on the product page, or include it in your quote request.
  2. Receive the drawing by e-mail.
  3. Reply with changes, or confirm in writing that it is approved.
  4. We then launch production.

Cases where you can pass

An order for the model exactly as pictured, with no logo, no added text and no colour change, does not need much checking. For anything else, we suggest keeping the drawing step.

Quote or product page

A custom quote already includes a sketch. When you order from a product page, the sketch or approval proof is an option added to your order.

Questions we hear from Canadian customers

Can I show the sketch to my coach or my manager first?

Yes. It arrives by e-mail, so it is easy to pass along and collect everyone's comments in one reply.

Do you answer quickly?

We reply within 24 hours. How long the sketch itself takes is confirmed with you in our exchange.

Can I change a colour after seeing the drawing?

Yes. Tell us what to adjust and we update the sketch before you approve it.

What does the BAT cover compared with the quote?

The quote covers price and conditions. The BAT covers the look of the mascot, as drawn.

What if I order without the option?

The mascot follows the choices in your order. If it is customised, we still recommend approving a drawing.
